Hello again, remember me ? Bet you have forgotten me already.
Since we last spoke, I have been up to a few things but mainly working hard out at work. One of the highlights has been that I went back to Tadcaster Albion to take photos of the match for the first time in 3 months. I sent them into the local paper and they used two of them in a full page match report. I was pretty pleased with that especially as I got a nice email from them saying that they liked the images. For me that is important as the amateur photographer me got approval from a professional newspaper man him. To me, that says they are of a decent standard. Connected, I think I like to liked and look for approval from others for my actions and work. Very pleased all around on that, especially as it was a nice sunny day which made it an enjoyable afternoon out.
At work, things were fairly quiet after Christmas but that was cool as it gave me the chance to play catch up on the jobs that don't have to be done week in week out, but need doing periodically. The last few weeks it has gone a bit crazy busy in the office and my brain started to just go brrrrrrrh. I came home today, had a bite to eat and woke up 2 hours later. I so needed that, maybe an age thing, but I think of it as rebooting my brain like you turning the computer off and on when it starts to run slowly. I had no intention of writing this tonight, but that was the benefit I got from my zzzzz.
I have had a few rides into York on the bus in the last week, but its appeal is falling. I appear to be getting happy being at home, especially as I am always busy online. I started a new Facebook page this week based on a simple principle. I have strong links to the Isle of Man and much of my Facebook work has been based on the Isle. The new idea was a group rather than my normal page and just ask people to post their holiday pictures from there from their past. Around 150 have joined the group and have had great fun posting the picture of mum and dad walking down the promenade at Douglas. I believe this group has great potential and the best bit for me has been that it has been great fun to see the random nature of what people have posted. I have done a little advertising of the group , but I would like to see how the group can grow organically. I finally got around to tidy up my main website of 2iom. It has been a bit of an embarrassment , but now although it is work in progress, it does look a lot tidier.
Lorraine has made a few cakes which looked good. I haven't pushed her Facebook page recently but know that I can invest a few pounds on the page whenever I want and the results for adding people in York who like cakes to the page is almost guaranteed. People love cake, people also love pictures of cake.
I have no great plans for the weekend apart from the regular getting my work done. I will no doubt be doing a bit online, but all my projects are very long term, I have plenty of time to work on things moving forward.
Ok, will leave it there for now. I hope you are working on moving your life forward in your small steps, tell me what you have been doing in the comments below. Thanks for reading.
